Cost : By donation - please be as generous as possible as all proceeds will go directly to the crowdfund, which you will learn more about on the tour.

Topics :

  • Why they decided to pasture raise all animals on their farm and why they chose regenerative farming
  • How their methods improve soil and animal health
  • Nutrient dense and chemical free farming
  • Alternative pest and parasite control
  • Their plans for an on-farm mobile butcher facility
  • Other related topics and question time

Activities :

  • Take a look at how the pigs, sheep, meat chickens, egg laying chickens and cattle are rotated through paddocks using a combination of traditional wire fencing, electric fencing using both electric fencing wire and electric mesh
  • To many this will be the best part of the tour, a tasting / grazing table will be set up so you get to taste some of their amazing produce, yum.

This one-off inaugural farm tour is a special one because it is also your chance to help Luke and De achieve their dream of having the on-farm butcher facility, as all proceeds from the day will go directly to their crowdfund.

Luke will tell you more on the day but this will be a very important community asset to strengthen local supply chains, support other local meat producers and be the foundation for the next step in shortening local supply chains, which is the building of an on-farm micro abattoir in the local area which Golden Hill will support and there are already several local farms ready to supply.
